We have two age groups for children's Sunday School at Grace:

GODLY PLAY (age 3 - gr. 2)

FIRST FOLLOWERS (gr. 3 - 5)

From September through May, Sunday School gathers before worship at 10:15 for a lesson and activity.

GODLY PLAY:

Several years ago, Grace Sunday School began a new curriculum called, 'Godly Play,' utilizing figurines and small sets to introduce the Bible through a sense of wondering. 

FIRST FOLLOWERS

First Followers, a program designed for our members in grades 3 through 5, is a bridge between our successful Godly Play classes and our Confirmation program. First Followers builds on the Godly Play format, as students are asked to discuss and share their thoughts on the day's Gospel lesson, while introducing new skills, such as using the Bible and drawing parallels between everyday life and the readings. Opportunities for relationship-building are included in every session as well, as we encourage participants to begin relationships that will last into adulthood and emphasize the importance of fostering community. 

We offer communion classes once a year for anyone who wants to learn more about practicing communion or prepare for their first communion. We commune all ages but it is always the parents decision as to when someone receives communion.
We celebrate their coursework with receiving communion and a small gift.
