Grace has been serving south Evanston and surrounding communities for 65 years. We are a diverse church, ranging in age from a few weeks to our mid-90's, with our roots reaching back to Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, and the islands of the Caribbean.

Our Vision is to be God's Kingdom bursting open in the world. The ministry of Grace is about living out our Vision and Core Values.

Every person in the Grace community has permission, and is encouraged, to carry out this ministry; in whatever ways God is calling them.

These ministries are happening all the time - through creative Sunday School, meaningful worship, serving at soup kitchens, caring for a local family with members who are HIV positive, local and international peacemaking,  knitting and sewing, GLBT advocacy, and much more.

Grace is in partnership with the

Samaritan Counseling Center,

which provides spiritually-sensitive counseling. Liz Morris  has an office at Grace, and is available for counseling: 847.446.6955.

Grace also provides space for

Youth Organizations Umbrella,

an organization that serves at-risk youth in Evanston. After school programs and counseling are offered at Grace.

We are in partnership with 10,956 congregations, 28 Lutheran colleges and universities, 8 seminaries, 450 world-wide missionaries, one of the largest social service networks in the United States, and Lutheran World Relief, all ministries of the 5.2 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Grace is a Reconciling in Christ congregation. Please see our Affirmation of Welcome for more info.
